2019 Auto Glass Week Technician Competitions
Auto Glass Technician Competition Registration Deadline: July 31, 2019 The Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) is a premier international competition designed to honor the technician who completes the best automotive glass installation. Areas to be judged include: professionalism, credentials and knowledge; technician comportment and vehicle safety inspection; proper product, equipment and tools usage; proper auto glass removal and installation procedures and techniques; and post-installation and customer procedures.
2019 AGTO Prize Package First Place: $10,000 Second Place: $1,000 Third Place: $500
Auto Glass Calibration Competition Registration Deadline: July 12, 2019
Now in its second year, the Auto Glass Technician Calibration Competition, sponsored by Opti-Aim™, is a premier international competition designed to find and honor the auto glass technician who completes the best auto glass calibration. Competitors may use any calibration system from sponsoring manufacturers during the competition. Areas to be judged: in-depth knowledge, calibration assessment and preparation, material assembly and placement, static calibration procedure, post-calibration procedure.
2019 Calibration Prize Package Grand Prize: $5,000
Windshield Repair Competition Registration Deadline: July 31, 2019 The GlasWeld Windshield Repair Competition in Honor of Walt Gorman (WRO) is an international competition designed to recognize the technician who completes the best repair of a windshield. Areas to be judged include: professional attire, customer greeting, technician comportment, vehicle preparation, proper use of tools and products, repair technique quality and appearance of completed repair, post-repair and customer procedures, in-depth knowledge and ROLAGS® proficiency.

Auto Glass Customer Service (CSR) Competition
Third Annual CSR Competition Registration Deadline: July 12, 2019 The Auto Glass Customer Service Representative (CSR) Competition, is designed to recognize those who are the voice of the auto glass industry – the individuals who interact with customers on behalf of an organization and work hard to secure business for years to come. CSRs are the company’s first impression and this competition recognizes and rewards the best ones.
Mystery Shopper Experience
Competitors will participate in a "mystery shopper" experience during the preliminary rounds and will receive a call during the month of July. A team of judges will grade each call. The top scorers will be invited to compete in person in the finals round to be held on Friday, September 6, at Auto Glass Week™ 2019. The Grand Champion will receive $2,500 and the title of "World's Best Auto Glass CSR 2019".
Important Competitor Information
All competitors must agree, comply and adhere with all rules and regulations throughout the competition. The rules and regulations are included in the competitor packets that are linked below.
(Note: Competitors who are in the both the AGTO and WRO competition division will participate in the ROLAGS™ testing after the AGTO meeting has finished.)
IN ORDER TO COMPETE
You must be currently employed as a technician in a bonafide automotive glass company and have at least one year of experience as a technician in the industry in order to compete. Owners or managers of supplier companies may not compete. Competitors must be 18 years of age by the end of the competition.
COMPETITOR REFUND POLICY Once you are registered a refund cannot be processed, even if a manufacturer wishes to sponsor you. Please check with your manufacturer prior to registering for the competition.
